Geoffrey Bligh has over ten years of experience in international education and foreign policy. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Mr. Bligh also attended the Spanish American Institute in Seville, Spain. He served for twenty-seven months in the United States Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic teaching international development and policy. Mr. Bligh worked for three years as Senior Evaluator for one of the nation's largest foreign credential evaluation services and over one year processing labor certifications for the largest immigration firm in Florida.
During his studies in Seville, Spain, Mr. Bligh assisted the admissions staff at the Spanish American Institute with admissions requirements and transfer credit from the Universidad de Sevilla and various other universities in Seville, Spain.
As a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, Mr. Bligh lectured to students attending the Pontifical Catholic University "Madre y Maestra" (PUCMM), Santo Tomas de Aquino campus and the Universidad del Caribe regarding transfer credit and admission policy requirements at U.S. universities.
As Senior Evaluator, Mr. Bligh evaluated thousands of degrees from over 50 nations, specializing in Latin America, India, Russia, China and the European Union. He has completed applications for the following purposes: labor condition applications/labor certifications for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Department of Labor, and applications for admissions to U.S. high schools, colleges and universities (including transfer credit). In addition, he has prepared work experience evaluations in the following fields: business administration/accounting/finance, culinary arts/hospitality management, computer science/computer information systems and engineering.
In addition, Mr. Bligh worked for over a year at the largest immigration law firm in Florida, processing hundreds of labor certifications, as well as other immigrant visa applications.
Mr. Bligh is a member of the National Academic Advising Association, the Center for Quality Assurance in International Education, the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) and the American Translators Association.
